When Jesus was asked by a lawyer “Who is my neighbor?” Jesus answered with the parable about the Good Samaritan. This parable tells us that we are all neighbors; those we know and those we don’t know, those we like and those we don’t like… and they all deserve our care.

Mission and Outreach seeks to follow Jesus’ teaching in our own community and around the globe. Some of our projects include:

Providing complete Thanksgiving & Christmas dinners to those in need within our community

Providing Christmas gifts to families in need within our community

Preparing meals for the Dorothy Day Hospitality House in Danbury

Supporting our armed forces by sending Valentines and treats for our troops

Raising funds in coordination with our Church School for Heifer Project International

Raising funds for the United Methodist City Society (New York City) to send underpriveleged kids to camp for a week

Showing appreciation to Newtown’s Police force on their 50th Anniversary by providing treats and a huge THANK YOU

Supporting the Association of Religious Communities (ARC) in Danbury

Supporting the United Methodist Committee on Relief (Global Humanitarian Aid) with Health, Education & Cleaning Kits

Support for Regional Hospice in Danbury
